Tagai Management Consultants Managing Director, Murray Saylor is of Torres Strait Islander descent whose family originates from Darnley Island (Erub) located in the Eastern cluster of the Torres Strait. Murray realised at a young age he wanted to challenge negative stereotypes about Indigenous Australians and create his own destiny. The next phase of Murray’s journey is to share knowledge with others, and facilitate empowering partnerships with people, communities and businesses creating their own destiny.

Murray has worked for over 15 years within strategic and operational roles within the public and private sector.

Murray has worked on State and Federal Government strategic Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander policy and program initiatives, including working hand in hand with remote Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait communities. Murray was presented with an award in recognition of excellence in Community Engagement by the Queensland Department of Housing Director-General.

 

Murray has fine-tuned his project management and commercial acumen working in the mining resource sector as a Supply Chain and Procurement professional working on remote mine sites and at a corporate level for multinational mining companies Rio Tinto and Anglo American. Murray has developed and managed capital and operational expenditure contracts. He has lead a warehouse operation, managing inventory and providing effective logistics service delivery while collaboratively exploring HSEQ and business continuous improvement opportunities.

In addition, Murray served his country in the Australian Army Reserve as a Commissioned Officer working in finance administration roles.

Murray’s invaluable experience across a broad range of high level roles in conjunction with reputable service delivery partners will ensure a professional and tailored service is provided to all clientele.

Ramon Gomez is the Managing Director of Credo Consulting a Tagai Management Consultants key alliance partner. Ramon brings significant commercial experience gained across a diverse number of industries covering Mining and Resources (Rio Tinto), Rail and Port (Aurizon), Public sector (Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works, and Queensland Health) and Consultancy services (KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers). Ramon has played leading roles in strategic transformation and business improvement programs. His involvement spanned across many areas, such as, business intelligence and data analytics, commercial evaluation, process improvement, business performance management and reporting, risk and governance, and capability development. Ramon partner’s with clients by bringing the combined strength of his commercial acumen, data analytics and operational experience to support management towards making informed commercial decisions that ensure strategy remains connected to sustainable long term value.
