Social Distancing & Keeping Connected
Tagai Management Consultants like other businesses have had to retreat to working in our home offices and engage within the marketplace via telecommunications and software. This blog is focused on sharing some tips and options for you to keep connected with customers, family and friends.
In the last couple of decades, social media and technology have taken hold of our attention and redefined human interaction and in some instances lack thereof, in a way we have already been “social distancing”. On the other hand for mobile and agile small businesses like Tagai Management Consultants technology has enhanced how we conduct business except if you are in a remote community were telecommunications and connectivity is sparse and in instances still non existent.
As the coronavirus (covid19) continues to spread its tentacles throughout our global village, and we are advised by the authorities to “social distance”, “self isolate” and become our own little home islands connection with our clients, businesses, families, friends and community is greatly impacted, but in these times remaining connected is even more important.
The nature of business and family interaction may have evolved but there is nothing like hearing a voice, and even better having a conversation face to face.
In conducting research for this blog we came across a great article by techradar.com which provides a great overview of the “Best video conferencing software 2020: Paid and free solutions for business” link, https://www.techradar.com/best/best-video-conferencing-software. The article has great advice and guidance on considerations for each of the highlighted software options, and obviously in this digital age there are many more options including Microsoft Teams, facebook messenger, and for a small discussion the iphone and android have conferencing options.
Covid19 may be around for an extended period but it doesn’t have to mean that business stops and you do not connect with family and friends. We are a flexible and adaptable species and all it requires is to embrace the technology available but, can be as simple as scheduling a call with a client and even better regularly calling family and friends.
Respects to you, your organisation, family and community during this time - remain connected and continue to live your life.
