Aboriginal Innovators in Residence

With hustle and bustle of connecting flights and living out of a suitcase has temporarily subsided it provides a chance to share some of the work Tagai Management Consultants has been undertaking across our great country.

Firstly, Tagai Management Consultants just want to take the opportunity to acknowledge the great work of all the businesses and organisations that have activated to fight against the Coronavirus and its associated impacts on all our communities and families.

Through networking via the CSIRO Indigenous Innovation Alliance which focused on First Nation research and entrepreneurship, Tagai Management Consultants had the opportunity to develop a relationship with Charles Darwin University and the Northern Institute located in Darwin, Northern Territory.

That relationship matured into Tagai Management Consultants being engaged as the Aboriginal Innovators in Residence to provide Aboriginal Northern Territory businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurs with access to an subject matter expert to undertake the provision of expert advice on behalf of Charles Darwin University (CDU) for Aboriginal businesses undertaking innovation. The journey is in its infancy but we have had the opportunity to work with aspiring and inspiring Aboriginal Northern Territory small business and community based entrepreneurs to facilitate their commercialisation journey.

In October 2019, the Northern Institute hosted a Indigenous business networking event which was used as an opportunity to introduce Charles Darwin University’s new Innovators in Residence (Aboriginal STEM) - Tagai Management Consultants.

The Innovator in Residence program will evolve due to the COVID-19 pandemic through innovation and continuity of service delivery will be maintained with existing inspiring program participants but also innovate in structure and delivery.
