Indigenous Business Month 2021 Celebrations and Supporting Community Initiatives

Indigenous Business Month 2021 will be an opportunity for Tagai Management Consultants to vie for Industry Awards and support local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander initiatives on Mainland Australia, and the Torres Strait Islands.

Momentum is building within our domestic market as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and other inspiring enablers continue to break new ground and contribute to powering our Indigenous economy. Tagai Management Consultants vision is to maximise opportunities to make a difference in our global village.
During Indigenous Business Month 2021 we have committed to supporting the following local initiatives and celebrations:

  • Ipswich Murri Cultural Camp 2021 (Gold sponsor): We were a gold sponsor for the #Ipswich Murri Cultural Camp 2021 which was held at the start of October and provided our local Aboriginal youths with an opportunity to go bush and learn language, culture and dance.

  • Zenadth Kes Cup 2021 (Silver sponsor): This annual Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula Area (NPA) Rugby League Carnival goes from strength to strength, and this year marks its 25th anniversary. It is an opportunity for female and male warriors to battle it out on the field and come together as community.

  • Torres Strait & NPA Employment and Training Recognition Awards 2021 (Gold sponsor): This year the Awards committee celebrates its 10 year anniversary. The event recognises people in the Employment & Training sector and celebrates the achievements of people in the Torres Strait and NPA.

  • Facilitating Getting Ready for the Games Workshop: The Queensland Department of Employment, Small Business and Training and associated Government stakeholders are holding a Workshop focused on identified Far North Queensland Indigenous businesses and understanding what is needed to get them 2032 Olympic Games procurement ready.
