Cairns Regional Parliament Week (8-12 May 2023)

Tagai Management Consultants Senior Consultant and FNQ office lead, Julie-Ann Lambourne had the opportunity to represent Tagai Management Consultants at attend events associated with the Queensland Government Regional Parliament in Cairns (8-12 May 2023).

The highlights included: 

  • The Taste of Tropical Queensland Showcase held at Hemingways Brewery.  The event showcased many of the tropical north's finest businesses.

  • Queensland Government State Reception. The event was hosted by The Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and The Honourable Cameron Dick MP Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment on behalf of the Queensland Government.  

  • Path to Treaty Breakfast hosted by the Honourable Craig Crawford, Minister for Disabilities, Seniors and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships.  The breakfast followed the Queensland Path to Treaty Bill being passed in Parliament.  A momentous decision for Queensland. 

  • Premier’s Women on Boards Event.  The event was hosted by The Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and The Honourable Shannon Fentiman, MP, Attorney-General and
    Minister for Justice, Minister for Women and Minister for the Prevention of
    Domestic and Family Violence to the stage.   Julie-ann participated as one of the panel members with other fellow panellists Melia Benn, Jacinta Redden and Sarah Zeljko and the Master of Ceremonies, Ms Kristy Sexton-McGrath, Journalist, ABC News.

  • Black Coffee, Indigenous Business Network, Cairns.  The event brought together Indigenous business from Cairns and was attended by Minister Leeanne Enoch MP, Minister for Treaty, Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Minister for Communities and Minister for the Arts.
