AIATSIS Summit 2023

From the 5th to the 9th of June, Tagai Management Consultants’ Managing Director, Murray Saylor, was invited to attend the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) Summit as an AIATSIS Council Member.

The event was located in Perth and around 1400 participants gathered to attend the summit. The AIATSIS Summit provides a forum opportunity for First Nation peoples, leaders, communities, and the Australian Government to discuss current and future challenges.

Murray attended the event and chaired three sessions during the summit. One session he noted was a session about “water, water rights and women’s participation in water rights”. The week was filled with intrigue and fascinating topics that are prevalent for First Nation Australia such as native title, cultural tech, and language restoration.
